Rules

Last updated 15 October 2026

Failure to follow these rules may result in a ban.

Not allowed, anywhere on the site

Banned words

Some words are blocked. If your text contains one, it is refused and nothing is saved, and you are told that some words are banned. This covers reviews, replies, profile comments, bios, badges, and the names, descriptions and aliases of packs and charters, and the titles, descriptions, and notes of lists and collections. Report reasons, appeals, feedback and bug reports are not checked, so you can quote what you are reporting.

EtternaOnline's rules apply here too

Paqet only exists because of the EtternaOnline community, so EO's own rules apply on this site as well, not just the Forum & EO website. Short version: one account per person, be respectful, pick a username that isn't offensive or impersonating someone, don't post anything malicious or NSFW, don't spam, don't abuse the site or anything connected to it.

Packs and charters

A pack is added with a link to its page on StepMania Online or EtternaOnline, and the name you give has to match the name on that page. Adding a pack under a name that is not its own, or linking the page of a different pack, counts as a fake entry. An admin approves each pack before anyone else can see it.

We can deny or remove any pack or charter for any reason, including ones not listed here.

Reviews

You can write one review per pack, and edit or delete it whenever you like. Reviews can be up to 100,000 characters and can use markdown. Images and links in a review are loaded from other sites, so the rules above apply to them as well.

Lamps

A lamp means you have played every chart in a pack. It works on trust, so only mark a pack you have actually lamped.

Lists and collections

You can make lists of packs or of charters, each with a title, a description, and a note on every entry, and you can group your own lists into collections. The rules above apply to all of this text, and the banned words apply to titles, descriptions, and notes. You can credit another account as a helper on a list, and the credit shows only once they accept it. Lists and collections follow your profile's privacy setting, can be reported with the Report button, and an admin can delete one that breaks the rules. There are limits on how many you can make and edit in an hour.

Private profiles

You can make your profile private in your account settings. Everyone else then sees only your avatar and username. People you follow can also see your bio, badges and friends. Only your friends, meaning people you follow who follow you back, can see your reviews, favourites, lamps, lists, collections, and follows. Your reviews still count towards a pack's score and rating. Replies you write on other people's reviews and comments you leave on other people's profiles stay public. The rules apply to a private profile in the same way, and admins can see everything when they handle a report.

Blocking

You can block an account from its profile. A blocked account cannot follow you, comment on your profile or reply to your reviews, and you will not see its reviews, replies or comments. Blocking does not remove anyone's review from a pack's score, and it does not replace reporting something that breaks these rules.

Reporting, restrictions and bans

A pack, a charter, a review, a reply, a profile comment, a list, a collection, or a profile itself can be reported using the Report button next to it. An admin reviews every open report and decides what happens. The reports you have filed, and where each one stands, are listed in your account settings.

An account that breaks these rules can be restricted or banned. A restricted account can still log in and browse, but cannot add new packs or charters, add new credits, write new reviews, reply, comment, make or add to lists and collections, or like and follow lists. A restricted account can still edit or delete a review it already wrote. A banned account cannot log in at all. A ban stays in place if the account is deleted and made again.

A banned account gets one chance to request an unban when it next tries to log in. State the reason clearly. An admin reviews it and either lifts the ban or leaves it in place, and no further appeal is offered for that ban.

Feedback and bug reports

Anyone logged in can send feedback or report a bug from the "Send feedback" link in the account menu or the footer, restricted accounts included. Admins read everything that is sent. Send what you want to say once and keep it civil and on topic. There is a limit on how many you can send in an hour and in a day. You cannot edit or delete what you sent, and you cannot reply to an admin's answer, but you can see its status and any reply on the same page. Not every idea will be built, and an admin's yes or no on an idea is only an opinion. Sending spam or abuse through this form breaks the rules above, like anywhere else on the site.

If something's wrong

Use the Report button where you can. For anything a report can't cover, contact Martzi directly (see the privacy policy for how).
